Thermal Imaging Home Inspections
For most people, buying a home is the most significant investment in their lives. So don’t overpay for a partial, inadequate home inspection. American Fortitude uses up to date technology to detect problems through your home’s walls, floors, and ceilings.
We’ll use thermal imaging for free to check for hidden leaks, water damage, faulty wiring, and more with any home inspection. A big issue revealed during these tests is moisture, showing roof leaks, mold sources, and posts that show termite nests. Other problems revealed with a thermal imaging camera include foundation cracks & structural concerns, rodent infestations, and absent insulation.
This testing is incredibly effective and reliable because of water’s high thermal capacity; when things are wet, they become more resistant to temperature change. This testing is best to do later in the day when roofing materials start to cool down, making the warmer, moist parts of the roof stand out.
Electrical problems are quickly discovered as infrared imagery highlights hot spots. The image will glow yellow to red wherever damage to an electrical system occurs, making it easy to locate and repair. When scanning a home’s structure, we find differences in conductivity and temperature, which indicate missing and damaged structural components such as insulation or wet basement walls leading to mold.
The information revealed by thermal imaging is of great value to a homeowner or potential home buyer, which is why our professionals know how to interpret these images, taking into account variables that lead to inaccurate measurements, such as dry areas and reflected heat. We take pride in the quality of our service because we know how much you value your home.
Our standards are upheld through integrity, honesty, and responsibility. We take pride in the quality of our service and customer satisfaction, so the next time you’re going to purchase a home or make a real estate investment, call us first and let our professionals take care of your home.
